Your opportunity at TrendWatching
We are looking for a passionate, senior Trend Editor / Author in Amsterdam or London to join our team and embark on our exciting multi-year journey to support and lead the movement for a more purposed economy.
In this role, you will be the Editor-in-Chief for ‘Amplify Daily’ (a new and highly anticipated daily content service on Amplify, our Trend Intelligence Platform) and TrendWatching Weekly, our flagship free publication.
You will be the ultimate curator of the most important trends, currents, insights and innovations out there, utilizing our research tools and coordinating with our other Trend Analysts to write, direct and publish future-forward content on a daily basis.
You will get the chance to explore and expand upon your passion for purposed innovation, hone your skills when it comes to identifying meaningful business opportunities, and provide 10,000s of professionals at many of the world's largest B2C brands, professional services firms and NGOs with insights that inspire purposed action.
Your responsibilities in this role
Researching, curating, writing and editing trend content for Amplify, TrendWatching's intelligence platform, and for TrendWatching Weekly
Creating content on complex matters in a simple and business-related manner, and translating innovations, insights and statistics into tangible business opportunities for our clients, subscribers and followers
Working closely with our Head of Research to moderate our AI-driven feed to scan the thousands of articles we track on a weekly basis
Setting up a monthly content calendar, deciding what content will be posted when, aligning with all internal stakeholders, and making sure that deadlines are met
The ideal candidate
You feel and act purposed: caring deeply about sustainability, equality, well-being and transforming businesses into a force for good
You (obviously) have excellent writing skills as well as a beyond-solid command of the English language
You have a background in journalism or other writing-related fields, and solid experience in writing about business, innovation and trend topics for business audiences. Experience with other content formats like podcasts and video is a plus
You have an amazing eye for detail and reliable proofreading skills
You will ideally have experience in working with content management systems
You have solid time and project management skills
You perform best in a cosmopolitan, entrepreneurial environment
